Description

Analogue tape, under control.

413 Tape Saturator reproduces the non-linear behaviour of overdriven analogue tape, where magnetic saturation rises with the level of the recorded signal. The signal, especially its high-frequency content, changes dynamically with its amplitude, just like real tape.

Why the 413

  • Three tape types: each modelled on the noise and saturation character of a well-known tape brand
  • Three distortion types: the harmonic content of overdriven Tube or Transistor circuits, plus Soft Clipping
  • The real thing: genuine tape hiss and an IEC on NAB playback equalisation mode
  • Subtle to driven: from gentle warmth that brings a dull track to life to bold, upfront drive

“The 413 is another great plug-in from friends MIA Labs. The subtle saturation-to-increased-drive can really breathe life into an otherwise dull mix or individual instrument, and focus elements upfront.”

“413 Tape Saturator is AWESOME! My new favourite tape saturating plugin. Spot-on tape emulation paired with a simple GUI makes this an absolute must have in every producer’s toolbox. 5 stars!”
